Inspired by @bhsbees_library, SRMS has created Library Loyalty Cards! For each book checkout or maker experience completed, students receive a book stamp. Once the card is filled, students turn it in to receive a prize. I created the template in Canva, printed the cards (with a coupon) through Zazzle, and found the perfect book stamp on Amazon. I'm loving how excited students are to collect stamps!
Using Canva, I created a book grid that allows students to listen to and preview book clips based on categories that match their interests. How is it 2026 already?! I got an email from Google about my "blog" settings needing to change. I had totally forgotten I had a blog, and when I went to it, I recalled how "old school" it felt, and I loved that. No AI, no filters, just my raw thoughts, ideas, and pictures. So I thought, why not try and keep it that way? Here is to remembering my roots.
What am I working on?
This year we used Waldo to help us get our books back! Kids loved finding Waldo which lead to great conversations about brining their library books back. Teachers liked getting the certificates stating all their kiddos had brought their books back. Love this!
