Where's Waldo? Find Your Library Books!

 

This year we used Waldo to help us get our books back! Kids loved finding Waldo which lead to great conversations about brining their library books back. Teachers liked getting the certificates stating all their kiddos had brought their books back. Love this!

Map Your Library

When I begin planning for a big event or program, like Library Week, I use this map of my library. I like to plan everything out on paper before moving things around. This also helps make sure I have enough place for the projects and that the flow of the event will go well. National Library week Website

Play Your Cards Right!

 Recently I was stuck on fresh ideas for kiddos to preview books. The teacher I was working with wanted students to find historical fiction books from that, the idea formed! Kids would use preview questions on cards and play the game "War" to discover historical fiction books! 

Be Fearless

Being fearless isn't easy but I loved watching the kids take risks in their conversations today and loved the buttons they create to remind themselves to be bold, brave, and FEARLESS!

 

 May 11th already!

I can't believe this year! It is one that I will definitely remember. My favorite part of the year was Library Week!
